The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Big sale of cull cows again today with 180 on offer and 130 heifers. A great trade for the cows with great interest from Northern Ireland again this week with 3 online bidders. It must be said that there was some great stock available again both feeding and fleshed cows. Mostly Continental cows on offer. Heifers were again mostly Continentals and with very good type of stores available and these meet a very firm trade on the week. Some cracking forward heifers available also and meet a great trade. Exceptionally high clearance rate today.

Big sale today, it is the first sale in almost 3 months with buyers back around the ring and the online bidding system working together. Despite ring side activity we still had a number of bidders online. Trae was very strong especially for the quality bull weanlings, but it must be said that the quality was very good in this ring. Heifers slightly tougher than last week. Calves again meet a very good trade with a limousine bull calf of 2 months old making €540. Some good strong calves on offer today with 100% clearance. Suckler cows with calves at foot made to €1,770 today with strong demand for these.

It was our first sale in almost 3 months and we had both ringside bidding and online bidding. Both systems worked very well together and the coverage and image was excellent. We had a great mix of stock on offer from calves, cull cows, heifers and bullocks. A number of stock were purchased online today. Strong calves meet good demand and Friesian bulls made €100 to €140 and AA calves made to €260.

Very big sale of Cull Cows with 220 on offer and again these mostly Continentals. Trade for these similar to the week previous but overall quality of these not quite as good as the previous week. A large entry of aged bulls averaged €1.60/kg but quite a number of Friesians in this with a top call of €1,770 for a 955kg Limousin. There was a large entry of Heifers also and some good quality stock in these and trade similar to the previous week.

Big sale today with just over 500 on offer. Two rings operated today with both online and ring side bidding. Quality very variable today in the weanlings both bulls and heifers. A lot of heavy average quality bulls today. Calves meet a great trade with over 100 of these on offer, with a top call of €620 for a 3 month old Limousin bull. A good number of calves at 2 months of age plus today. Good trade for suckling stock today with pairs hitting €1,660 with many lots making upwards of €1,400.

Big sale again for day of the year with just shy of 500 on offer. Trade for the bulls very strong but heifers a shade easier but quality for this ring not as strong as last week. Again almost a 100 calves available and these meet a very strong trade and many of these in 2 month to 3 month age bracket and a 7 week old Limousin bull making €700. A small entry of runners hit €750. A great trade for suckler pairs with most lots making €1,350 to €1,670 with a top quality pair topping out at €2,300.
