Entry System:
Entries for Tuesday Sales will be taken on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Thursday & Friday Sales will be taken on Thursday and Friday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Monday Sheep Auction taken on Friday of previous week.
The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

Draw for First Pen of Heifers to be Sold
***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Good entry of sheep today with just short of 500 on offer. A fair run of quality hogget’s today and a similar trade to previous weeks. Only a very small run of spring lambs on offer and these all made €4/kg. Some hogget’s up €3 to €5. Cull ewes a good trade and made to €217. A hogget ewe with a pair of lambs made to €360.

Big sale today with just shy of 928 cattle on offer. Calf numbers back with 150 available. A fine trade for strong well-fed calves, but the lighter poor calves were the same story, very hard sold down to €1 for some JEX calves.
FR bull calves made from €2 to €150. AAX calves made from €50 to €365 & HEX calves made from €30 to €395. Continental calves made to €510 for a CHX heifer. Suckler stock met a great trade with pairs making to €2,570 & in-calf lots made €2,550. Bull & heifer weanlings were a great trade yet again and made to €4.41/kg for bulls, with heifers making to €4.14/kg. Dairy cows made from €650 to €1,410.

Strong entry of cull cows & heifers today with 200 cows, 300 heifers and a dozen bulls on offer. Again a good mix of continentals and dairy cull cows available. The lighter heifers were a stronger trade as prices were up 10-15c/kg, with heavier heifers up 5c/kg. The very good fleshy cows were up 15-20c/kg for the tops as there was some great quality cows on offer. There were 15 bulls on offer and these averaged €2.29/kg as a BA bull weighing 905kgs made €2,300. Heifers peaked at €3.92/kg.
